Managing Internet addresses card index
Docsphere system supports card index of Internet addresses. This functionality similar to managing of Internet favorites in Internet Explorer, but give more advanced features. Each address provided with card where you can hold additional information (metadata). The needed card can be searched by keywords or sorting keys. The Internet addresses card index can be shared at the level of enterprise.
This function can help for instance to one surfing between forums and needs managing ordered card index of forum massages.
To test this function:
Download the Docsphere trial version (full functionary limited to 200 documents) from this site.
Surf to some Internet site, page in the site, message in forum etc.
Click on Docsphere button in the Internet explorer toolbar.
Will raise the Docsphere card with Internet address on it
Sort the card by choosing appropriate keys from the list of available keys to the list of given keys.
Write your notes, comments, keywords, the user name and password or other needed data relating the Internet site.
Fill the custom data fields (Project, Status, your own).
Select the folder in the Docsphere folder tree where you want to store the card.
Press OK button to store the card.
Select the folder in the Docsphere folder tree where you want to store the card.
To search the card open the Docsphere user interface by clicking on gold cylinder icon in the system tray.
Select the folder where you have saved the card. You can see that Internet link added to the list of links in the folder you choose. The double click in the link will open Internet Explorer at the address that saved in the card.
Open the searching window by clicking on the button in the Docsphere user interface toolbar. Open the panel of extended search. Write the key word, or part of it, or any word from your notes, or project in the project field, or select the status. Press on search button. You will get the list of cards that match to the searching criteria. Double clicking on the item of the list will open Internet Explorer at the address that is saved in the card.
